Labour protection, personal protective equipment
The global market for personal protective equipment is estimated at more than $78bn, with the prospect of almost doubling (to $131bn) by 2030.
In turn, the Russian market is estimated at about $3bn or RUB 247bn: by this indicator, Russia ranks fourth, ahead of the US, China and Germany. At the same time, the growth rate of the Russian PPE market (13% annually) is almost twice as high as the global rate (6.7%).
The active development of the Russian PPE market can be explained by several factors:
- Increased economic activity, which led to the creation of new jobs, including those involving hazardous working conditions.
- Enterprises began to pay more attention to labour protection.
- Development of legislation regulating this industry. This concerns both various by-laws and GOSTs.
Thus, under current conditions, not only Russian, but also Chinese, Turkish and Indian PPE manufacturers also have every chance to occupy promising niches of the Russian PPE market.
Already at Securika Moscow 2024, 2,163 visitors (16% of the total number of guests at the exhibition) were interested in the section dedicated to personal protective equipment.
However, the PPE customer base is not limited to this. ITE Group, the organiser of Securika Moscow, has a wide range of opportunities to attract specialists from different industries. Since 1991, the company has been operating in Russia, where it organises 22 industry exhibitions on various topics. More than 300,000 unique visitors may be interested in PPE products. These are customers from construction and property management, transport, logistics and warehousing, welding, oil and gas, woodworking, food production and many others.
