Securika Moscow 2022: new opportunities in the changing world

From 12 to 15 April 2022, the 27th International exhibition of security and fire protection equipment and products Securika Moscow 2022 took place at Crocus Expo.

In 2022, Russian business, including security market, faced with new challenges, but at the same time, received new opportunities. Securika Moscow became one of the first platforms for Russian manufacturers and specialists in the security systems market.

Securika Moscow is the main exhibition in the security industry. Unstable global and political situation makes it highly relevant. At the 2022 edition, exhibitors had an opportunity to meet with Russian customers, find new partners, showcase their flagship models, new equipment, and projects. The companies proved their intent to support Russian consumer in need for alternative solutions and technologies to replace foreign brands.

In 2022, 190 companies from 8 countries exhibited at Securika Moscow. 16,998 security professionals (vs 16,529 in 2021) from 79 regions of Russia and 30 countries visited the exhibition. The exhibitors were interested in Securika Moscow because of customers, dealers, and partners.

According to the exhibitors, the exhibition was attended by many relevant visitors and new customers. In 2022, 8,399 new professionals or 57% from the total amount of visitors (vs 58% in 2021) visited Securika Moscow. The share of key visitors was 82% (vs 83% in 2021), 39% of which visited the exhibition to search for products and business services (vs 37% in 2021). The share of visitors with a budget from 20 million rubles to more than 50 million rubles increased up to 34% (vs 30% in 2021 and vs 29% in 2019). The density per exhibitor was 77 visitors (vs 58 in 2021 and vs 52 in 2019). As the result, 124 companies confirmed their participation in the next year’s edition of Securika Moscow

Business programme

In 2022, content events lasted for 3 days. More than 90 speakers delivered their reports at 13 events. Experts discussed current challenges and projects, work with customers, legislative innovations, and experience in problem solving.

On 12 April, the panel discussion “The security market under sanctions. What to expect and what to do?” was the key event. The speakers discussed the market situation, new opportunities, trends, and shared their forecasts for 2022.

At the conference “Protection of museum objects and security of museums in the context of geopolitical instability and sanctions” experts presented various security solutions for cultural objects, including alternative software, which could replace foreign brands.

On 13 April, the forum “AI and video analytics: prospects and challenges” took place. The industry experts discussed the development of the Russian video analytics market, customer expectations, possibilities of the technology, and segments for implementation.

At the conference “Prospects for the development of biometric technologies and practices of their application in Russia” experts spoke about the impact of legislative changes on the development of the biometrics market.
